Apocalypse Approaches is a fast-paced top-down roguelike where time controls your health, magic, and currency. Battle through procedurally generated dungeons and defeat enemies to regain lost time. Upgrade your weapon, cast powerful spells, and survive as the clock constantly ticks down.

Time Limit
Every run has limited time, and every moment drains it. Take damage? Lose more time. Run out of time? Game over. Embrace Armageddon and loop back.
Time-based combat
Time-based combat
Defeat enemies to gain back lost time. Outpace damage taken with damage dealt for ultimate success! Every second can mean the difference between survival and defeat.
Time-based spell-casting
Time-based spell-casting
Spells have limited charges. Time gained from defeated enemies can recharge them for future use. Will you use your spells once they're ready, or save the charges for the perfect moment?
Time-based shopping
Time-based shopping
You will find gold that can be exchanged for items at shops throughout runs. However, many items will be too expensive with gold alone. You may chose to sacrifice remaining time to pay the remainder of the cost. Will that item or upgrade help save you time later?
Fast decision making
Fast decision making
Every floor hits you with decisions, and you must quickly decide which is the best course of action. Is it worth it to explore the dungeon and look for more items, or should you find the exit as soon as possible to save time?

Each run is a new and different challenge, as the world changes between each loop. Find unique combinations of rooms, encounters, puzzles, and other unique challenges on each individual run.

Adaptive Soundtrack
Apocalypse Approaches is scored with a wonderfully adaptive soundtrack that varies in intensity as the timer ticks down, and also scores changes in the environment and game-state such as enemy and boss encounters.

Scrap of a mysterious ore and Entropy can help further resist the time loop's reset. Use these currencies well to bolster your future runs!

Face the Apocalypse
After learning about the approaching apocalypse from the seer, you quickly realize how little time is left before the end of the world. Outside a small bubble of security lies a ruined landscape ravaged by devils, demons, and other untold horrors of the night. Armed with nothing more than weapons you find, brave the forces of darkness and bring an end to the apocalypse before it consumes all.

Solve the Mystery
Why is the apocalypse happening? Why do you return to the inner city after dying? How can the townsfolk remember you? What does it all have to do with you? These questions need answers, but none of them matter so much as killing the thing that's causing it. You know that if you just keep charging forwards, you'll find the answer eventually.

Explore the World
Each loop is met with a uniquely twisted and destroyed landscape. With several distinct areas to brave, each more perilous than the last, you'll find new enemies, challenges, and mysteries to solve. You must navigate them all in order to find the end. Run out of time in one, and find yourself returning to the beginning.
